SOCIAL ETIQUETTE FOR CHILDREN

Duration: 1 session.


Purpose


This course guides and trains children aged 5-11 to become more responsible, kind, and polite. Good manners are an important indicator that contributes to developing confidence and success as they grow.


Course content:


  1. Social etiquette rules.
  2. How to greet and introduce oneself, proper forms of address, eye contact; confidence through communication posture.
  3. Treating others with respect by mastering principles of kindness, politeness, and thoughtfulness.
  4. Understanding public etiquette for proper behavior in crowded places, on transportation (cars, taxis, airplanes, trains, etc.), and while moving on the streets.
  5. Safe and polite use of elevators and public queuing rules.
  6. Rules to follow when borrowing items from others.
  7. Dealing with bullies.
  8. Proper behavior at the dining table and during meals.
  9. Basic dining etiquette, simple party etiquette, and dos and don’ts at the table.
  10. Handling difficult foods.
  11. Correct use of dining utensils.
